Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Leader Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari on Sunday ruled out any kind of political alliance between Imran Khan’s party and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
It is impossible to form a coalition government with the PPP, but a coalition for a united opposition could be an option, the former minister told the media.
Rejecting the possibility of forming a government at the center, he said there was no consideration to be part of a weak government. However, the PTI would make a strong opposition in the Parliamentary history of the country.
Zulfi Bukhari hinted that a weak government would be in the center that would not last too long.
Barrister Gohar also reiterated the same stance and said alliance with another party to form a strong opposition would be a better option.
Independent candidates supported by the PTI have emerged as the top performers in the recent general elections. However, there is current speculation about their ability to come together and establish the next central government.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, a prominent leader of the PTI, claimed that the party was initially leading with 170 seats in the National Assembly before the election results were reportedly manipulated in favor of the PML-N.
He emphasized the party’s intention to address this alleged rigging through legal channels.
