24 terrorists killed in Mach & Kolpur Balochistan: ISPR

Mach & Kolpur complexes attacked on January 29

The security forces had killed some 24 terrorists in the last three days during the firefights and clearance operations conducted in Mach and Kolpur areas of Balochistan.

On night 29/30 January 2024, terrorists attacked Mach & Kolpur Complexes in Balochistan,” said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a news statement.

“Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) deputed on security duty offered stiff resistance and forced the attackers to repulse. These terrorists were then hunted down in the ensuing sanitisation and clearance operations which have now been concluded after clearing and securing the area,” the ISPR noted.

According to the military’s media wing, “during the fire fights and sanitisation/ clearance operations, in last three days, twenty four terrorists have been sent to hell.”

Terrorist Shehzad Baloch, Attaullah, Salah Uddin, Abdul Wadood and Zeeshan were key terrorists among the dead.

The ISPR said identification process of remaining terrorists was in process.

Since the withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan, there has been a significant increase in the terrorist attacks in the country.

According to an annual security report issued by the Centre for Research and Security Studies, Pakistan witnessed 1,524 violence-related fatalities and 1,463 injuries from 789 terror attacks and counter-terror operations in 2023.

KP and Balochistan were the primary centres of violence, accounting for over 90 per cent of all fatalities and 84pc of attacks, including incidents of terrorism and security forces operations.
