Zulfi Bukhari’s nomination papers for NA 50 rejected

Former minister vows to challnge the decision of RO

The nomination papers of Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, were rejected on Saturday for the National Assembly’s Constituency 50 from Attock.

According to him his papers were not accepted on the basis of signature which apparently the Returning Officer deemed inauthentic.

Announcing to challenge the decision of RO in the court, the former minister termed the move “ridiculous”.

He said he even had his signature notarised & counter signed by the oath commission.

“My lawyers, proposers and seconders have been abducted from inside. No one else was allowed in. A complete violation of justice and rule of law. This is not an election it’s a joke like the jokers in the care taker govt. Going to court!” said Zulfi Bukari in his post on X formerly Twitter.

Meanwhile, the returning officers had also rejected the nomination papers of Azam Swati for National Assembly constituency NA 15 from Mansehra.

In another development, the nomination papers of former PTI leader Usman Dar’s mother for National Assembly constituency NA-71 from Sialkot were also rejected.

The returning officer rejected the nomination papers of Rehana Dar, mother of Usman Dar from NA-71 Sialkot, while the nomination papers of Umar Dar’s wife Aruba Dar from NA-71 Sialkot were also rejected.

Both Rehana Dar and her daughter-in-law had submitted their nomination papers against the PML-N central leader Khawaja Asif from Sialkot.
