COAS vows to crush all sorts of mafias in Pakistan

Farming & livestock is an honorable profession

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Saturday vowed to suppress all types of mafia in the country with the help and support of the masses.

Addressing the National Farmers’ Convention, he said farming and raising livestock was the chosen occupation of Prophets since it required dedication, endurance, personal development, & the ability to wait for the fruits of one’s labour, which ultimately leads to great rewards.

He emphasized that there have been rumours and negative things circulating about Pakistan. However, it is important to recognise that the establishment of both the Riyasat-e-Tayyaba and the State of Pakistan, both are rooted in Kalma, is not a mere coincidence.

Pakistan was abundant in resources that included glaciers, rivers, mountains, and fertile land that yield high-quality rice, as well as delicious fruits such as oranges and mangoes, the COAS noted.

Additionally, Pakistan was known for its rich deposits of granite, gold, and copper, as stated by the Army Chief.

He said Pakistan experienced rapid growth in the sixties, but unfortunately, the fundamental principles of Quaid-i-Azam – faith, unity, and organization were forgotten. As a result, the country faced a decline, he added.

The COAS said the focus of the Green Pakistan Initiative was to prioritise agriculture as our main area of work. The income of Green Pakistan Initiative will primarily be allocated to the provinces, with a portion dedicated to supporting farmers and agricultural research.

The army’s involvement in this initiative was solely focused on serving the people and farmers, said the Army Chief.

Through the dissemination of false news on social media, an atmosphere of excitement, despair, and chaos was being created, leading to the perception that the state was on the verge of collapse, he said, adding the state was not losing its existence, but rather strengthening its foundations.
