The Afghan Talibs have decided to act against the officials who removed the flag of Pakistan from an aid truck carrying food supplies to Afghanistan through the Torkham border.

Pakistan sent food items to Afghanistan on Sunday (19 September) on humanitarian grounds to the newly formed government in Afghanistan.
According to Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum Chairman Habibullah Khan, Pakistan’s goodwill gesture came at a time when the war-torn and destitute people of Afghanistan desperately needed such support.
However, a video of Taliban officials removing a Pakistan flag pinned to the side of a truck surfaced on social media.
The video shows that Afghan citizens along with the Taliban fighters are removing the flag of Pakistan and chanting “RIP” towards the flag. As the flag is removed, there are loud shouts and cries, and a Taliban warrior declares it should be “burned.”
In response to the footage, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid claimed in a statement that the incident “saddened” the Islamic Emirate’s whole cabinet. He said “Surely, this incident must have hurt the sentiments of our neighboring country for which we apologies,” and he also added that they only hope for good relations with Pakistan.
He added that the officials engaged in the incident had been arrested and their guns were taken. He stated that they would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
