Pakistan Navy Is Taking Part In A Global Exercise

Pakistan Navy recently took part in global special operations exercise known as Nusret 2021 in Canakkale, Turkey.

According to a news statement from PN, the drill included the PN Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team as well as teams from other nations under Turkish supervision.

The following teams participated in the exercise:

  • Azerbaijan.
  • Bangladesh.
  • Belgium.
  • Bulgaria.
  • Germany.
  • Iraq.
  • Libya.
  • Oman.
  • South Korea.
  • Romania.
  • Tanzania.

Participants included representatives from the Nato Mine Counter Measure (MCM) Group and the Nato Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation.

The purpose of the exercise was to share professional skills in the field of Special Operations Forces (SOF). The exercise’s goal was to build synergy, deepen military connections, and improve interoperability among the participating countries’ Special Operations Forces.

The exercise focused on operations like:

  • Underwater EOD Operations.
  • Mines Counter Measures in the maritime domain.

According to the press release, professional experience obtained during the international exercise will aid in the conduct of joint operations against common threats and will enhance cooperation among participating countries.
