Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s visit to the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has been in the limelight for all the bad reasons but his information minister Murtaza Solangi defended the PM’s engagement with the youth who does not fear on free speech.

“It was a good step for the Prime Minister to visit LUMS,” said the minister while talking to local media.

According to an insider, the prime minister was not worried over the fiery questions from the students of LUMS, rather he planned to have more interactions with youth.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar visited LUMS a couple of day back and faced heated questions from students.

The event, organized to facilitate an open dialogue on economics, politics, and governance, took an unexpected turn as students posed pointed questions to the Prime Minister.

Initially planned as an opportunity for students to engage in a one-on-one discussion with the Prime Minister, the session quickly escalated into a heated atmosphere. Some students openly criticized the Prime Minister, with one subtly questioning his punctuality and another challenging the need for such an address amidst the country’s worsening economic conditions.

Undeterred, certain students boldly expressed their opinions, while their peers offered encouragement through applause, applauding their courage.

The incident stirred varied reactions online, with netizens expressing divergent opinions. Some lauded the students for their fearlessness and praised the concept of free expression, while others criticized the manner in which the questions were phrased, deeming them immature.
